Anxiety in Children

Ginkgo Biloba for Anxiety in Children

To some children, the world can seem like a frightening and overwhelming place. Everyday events -- like a trip to the grocery store or going to bed alone -- can elicit anxiety, as can larger life transitions including moving, starting school or the death of a pet. Ginkgo biloba generally isn't recommended for children, although several other herbal remedies purportedly are safe and effective for treating anxiety. Use herbal supplements in conjunction with loving, parental support and talk with your doctor if symptoms continue.
