The three-day Army diet goes by other names including the Navy diet, the Cleveland Clinic diet and the fax diet. The only one of these names that has a legitimate connection to the diet is fax diet, which comes from the former practice of faxing the diet from person to person. Typical calorie intake for the 3-day Army diet is about 1,000 calories per day.
