Nylon is a strong, synthetic fabric used by many manufacturers to make undergarments thanks to its elasticity. The material is very durable and resistant to heat, mildew and snags. Despite its durability, nylon panties can still be damaged if they are not washed and cared for properly. Taking care of your nylon panties will help them last and keep their fit while looking good.
Wash nylon panties in cold or warm water in the washing machine. Avoid using hot water, which can distort the size and shape of the fabric. Use nonchlorine bleach on the panties if bleaching is necessary, and add fabric softener to the rinse cycle.
Dry the panties in the dryer on low heat. High heat can cause them to shrink and weaken the nylon fibers.
Place the panties in a mesh laundry bag if you are washing them with other clothes that have zippers, clips or other attachments that can snag or tear the panties. Transfer the mesh bag to the dryer for drying.
Fold the panties and place them in a drawer for storage. If you are storing the panties with bras that have hooks or clasps on them, use a drawer divider so they don't snag the panties.
