Are you addicted to coffee, but can’t stand the yellow stains it leaves on your teeth? Lucky for you, clear coffee just hit the market. Java fiends are understandably freaking out about the beverage, which looks exactly like water but tastes like a “potent cold brew.”

According to CLR CFF co-founder David Nagy, the crystal-clear brew is made from nothing more than freshly roasted arabica coffee, water and natural caffeine. So how exactly did they extract the color from coffee?

Nagy evaded the question in an email, calling the process “a secret,” but he promises that London-based CLR CFF “doesn’t use any chemicals during the production process” and that it’s free from preservatives, stabilizers and sweeteners.

It doesn’t take a genius (just a coffee, tea or soda addict) to know that consuming large quantities of these potent brown liquids causes dental damage in the form of stains and tooth decay. Nagy tells The Evening Standard that CLR CFF was his solution to this unfortunate side effect: “We are heavy coffee drinkers. Like many other people, we struggled with the teeth stains caused by it. There was nothing on the market that would suit our needs, so we decided to create our own recipe.”

While CLR CFF is not yet available at any retail store in the U.S., you can purchase the revolutionary beverage online. It’ll set you back £3 ($3.76) a bottle, which can seem pricey until you think about the cost of laser teeth whitening and at-home bleach kits.
