Pain refers to an uncomfortable feeling that can occur as a result of trauma or an underlying medical condition. In some instances, pain can be felt in the back, chest, stomach and muscles. Sometimes, the pain can be acute and resolve on its own. Pain can turn chronic, however, and require treatment. There are many common pain medications available.
Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone
Acetaminophen and hydrocodone, commonly sold as Vicodin, is a medication used to relieve moderate to severe pain. Drugs.com says that hydrocodone is a narcotic pain reliever while acetaminophen increases hydrocodone's effectiveness. Sometimes acetaminophen and hydrocodone also lead to ringing in the ears. Phone a doctor immediately if morphine leads to these effects. Morphine is a liquid, tablet or capsule.
