There are ways to help contain body odor--deodorant, perfume and other remedies--but there are more natural ways. Numerous vitamins and minerals can help minimize body odor, and are found naturally in fruits and vegetables.

Vitamin A

Vitamin A's purpose is to keep skin healthy. Because of this, it may help reduce body odor by protecting it from bacteria.

Vitamin B

All forms of vitamin B can help contain body odor. Vitamin B helps the body regulate its metabolism, which helps to rid the body of toxins. These toxins can be the cause of body odor. Ingesting 50mg to 150mg vitamin B every day can help reduce body odor.

Vitamin C

In addition to helping the immune system, vitamin C helps keep teeth and gums healthy. When your mouth is healthy it produces less bacteria, which can prevent odors caused by bad breath.

Vitamin E

Vitamin E helps to repair damaged skin cells. When many skin cells are damaged, they produce bacteria as a group. This causes foul odors to rise from the skin Vitamin E helps to rid the body of these bacteria-causing mutations.

Zinc

Zinc helps to balance the body's metabolism and reduces perspiration, which makes body odor less likely.
