Sudafed (pseudoephedrine) is an over-the-counter medication indicated to alleviate nasal and sinus congestion or pressure associated with hay fever, allergies or the common cold. This medication is part of a class of drugs called nasal decongestants and acts by decreasing the flow of blood within the nasal passageways. Nervousness and Difficulty Sleeping

Headache or Dizziness

If you experience episodes of dizziness or lightheadedness while taking Sudafed, sit down until these sensations pass to prevent additional injury from falling down or stumbling. Contact your doctor if you experience auditory, visual or sensory hallucinations, as these side effects may be indicative of a severe reaction to Sudafed.
