Step 1
Take a shower in warm water. This will open your pores and make your body wrap more effective.
Step 2
Scrub your skin with an exfoliating brush, or scrub while you are in the shower. This will remove dead cells on the top layer of your skin, exposing healthy skin for the body wrap.
Step 3
Set up an area to apply your body wrap. You may want to apply it in the bathtub and wait there until it's time to rinse the wrap off, in order to minimize the mess. You can also spread out towels or sheets in another area to lie on.
Step 4
Mix 1 cup of green clay, ¼ cup of sea salt, 2 tablespoons of olive oil and 2 cups of water until a thick paste is formed. You can also fill your sink with hot water and add 1 cup of herbs to the water, allowing them to steep for 5 minutes.
Step 5
Apply the wrap to your body. If you are working with a thick paste, rub it onto your body and then lie down, covering or wrapping yourself in a sheet or towel. If you are using herbs steeped in hot water, soak towels or sheets in the mixture and then wrap them around your body.
Step 6
Wait 10 to 20 minutes and then remove the sheets or towels from your body.
Step 7
Rinse the body wrap away with cool water, and then pat your skin dry.
Tips and Warnings
- Make your body wrap experience more relaxing by lighting candles or playing soft music. Do a body wrap once a month for best results.
