1. Make Your Batch
Each day, squeeze enough lemons (about a dozen, depending on size) to produce 1 1/2 cups of juice and mix it with 3 quarts of distilled water. Add enough honey to taste. You can chill the water or drink it at room temperature, though room temperature is preferable. Drink throughout the day and finish all three quarts by the end of the evening. Continue with a fresh batch on each of three consecutive days. Do not eat any solid foods or drink any other liquids.
2. To Eliminate Joint Pain
Each day of the lemon water fast, take 1 tsp. of fiber powder and 1 tsp. of a powdered multi-herbal formula. Those first three days mark an intensive internal cleansing period. On the fourth day, switch to drinking carrot, tomato or another fruit juice for seven more days. Continue to take the fiber and herbs each day. Don't drink any lemon water after day three. On the sixth day, you can add whole fruits and vegetables to your diet, and on the eighth day you can add cottage cheese and yogurt. On the tenth day and beyond, you can add protein back to your diet and stop taking the fiber and herbs. This regimen completely detoxifies for your body.
3. Understand How Lemon Water Works
Lemon water neutralizes and removes toxins from your body. It's especially effective at breaking up uric acid (which contributes to gout). Since the joint pain of arthritis may be caused by a buildup of toxins in the body, taking lemon water to remove those poisons may rid your body of the disease.
