How to Remove Skin Moles From the Neck

A mole is a growth on the surface of your skin that has a high concentration of melanin. This skin pigment gives the mole a darker color than the surrounding skin. A mole is generally benign, although the Skin Cancer Foundation reports that the presence of 100 or more moles on your body indicates an increased risk of skin cancer. You may wish to remove a mole on your neck because you consider it unattractive. Pineapple is a common method of doing this at home. This remedy involves naturopathic medicine, which promotes a holistic approach to health with minimal use of surgeries and drugs. Consult your physician before attempting naturopathic remedies at home.

Step 1

Buy a whole pineapple from a supermarket or fruit stand. Pineapple contains a high concentration of citric acid, which can get rid of the mole over time. Canned pineapple may not contain enough citric acid to treat a mole effectively.

Step 2

Use the knife to remove a piece of the pineapple that's about the same size and shape as the mole on your neck. Place the piece of pineapple against the mole so that it touches only the mole, not the surrounding skin. Apply an adhesive bandage to hold it in place.

Step 3

Replace the piece of pineapple as it dries out. Use this treatment as much as possible during the day. Remove the piece of pineapple before you go to sleep.

Step 4

Dip a cotton swab in fresh pineapple juice and apply it to the mole at bedtime. Rinse off the pineapple juice with soap and warm water the next morning.

Step 5

Continue this procedure until the treatment is complete. Your neck mole may gradually fade, or it may simply drop off. This can take several days, depending on the concentration of citric acid in the pineapple.
