Face Exercises to Lose Face Fat

Some people scoff at facial exercise, but we tone and work other muscles in our body; why not the face? Weight gain appears throughout the body, but it is often first apparent in the face, especially the cheeks, according to Good Housekeeping. A good all-around exercise routine and healthy eating diet plan will help you lose that face fat quickly, but don't forget facial exercises that will keep the muscles strong and toned and the skin taut and smooth.

Cheek Press

Reduce the roundness in cheeks and help tone cheek muscles by performing a cheek pulling exercise. Place the fingers of each hand on the cheeks, below the cheekbone, suggests the Fitness Health Zone website. Pulling down gently, smile as widely as you can, resisting against the downward tension offered by the fingers. Hold for a count of 5, and then relax. Repeat this exercise between five and 10 times several times a day.

Cheek Flattener

Reduce the appearance of plump cheeks by performing the cheek fat flatteners, suggests the Face Fitness Formula website. Start by puffing out the cheeks with air, keeping the lips closed. Your upper lip through push out a little. Hold the air in the cheeks while you count to 10. Now, push the air into the left cheek, still keeping the mouth closed. Hold it there for 10 seconds. Then, push the air into the right cheek, holding for another 10 seconds. You can do this exercise 10 times, several times throughout the day if you wish.

Face and Neck Workout

Facial workouts offer an effective method of toning muscles around the face, jaw and neck, which help create tighter skin tone and firm sagging jowls, chin and neck areas. Do this exercise five times. For example, work the neck, jaw and chin by performing this exercise. Lie on your back on your bed, with your head hanging over the edge, suggests the I Love India website. Slowly lift the head upward, like you are trying to touch your chin to your chest. You'll feel this exercise work all the muscles in the neck and chin, reducing a double chin and firming your jaw line.

Cheek Smile Exercise

Work the cheeks by smiling as wide as you can. Then, extend your tongue and try to touch your nose with the tip of your tongue, suggests the I Love India website. Go easy on this one to start, because you will really feel it under the chin and jaw. You will feel the pull in your cheeks as well. Hold the contraction for a few seconds and then release. You can do this exercise five times.

Complete Face Workout

Scrunch the face to provide an all around workout for all the muscles in your face, helping them tone and strengthen. Squeeze your eyes tightly, pucker your lips and scrunch all the muscles in the face, suggests the I Love India website. Try to frown, feeling the wrinkles in your forehead, and try to lift your puckered lips toward the nose. Hold the contractions for a few seconds and then release. Do this exercise several times a day.
