Sex drive is increased with certain hormones and chemicals that can be found in foods, such as vegetables, fruits and nuts. These foods also contain minerals and vitamins that provide the body with energy, which increases sexual stamina.

Vegetables

Some vegetables contain hormones and minerals that can increase sex drive. Androsterone, a hormone released through male perspiration that can attract a woman and elevate her mood, is found in celery. Hot chiles increase blood circulation to male and female sexual organs, making them more sensitive. Asparagus contains Vitamin E, which helps the body produce hormones like testosterone, estrogen and progesterone. It is also a good source of foliate, which is necessary for histamine production that is used to reach orgasm.

Avocados also increase energy with folic acid, and its high levels of Vitamin B6 increase male hormone levels. Figs increase libido with amino acids and pomegranates increase blood flow to sexual organs. Watermelon contains phytonutrient citrulline, which increases the body's levels of nitric oxide. This relaxes blood vessels and increases blood circulation, decreasing the amount of time it takes to become aroused.

Nuts and Spices

Essential fatty acids that increase male hormones are found in almonds, and garlic contains allicin, which increases blood flow to sexual organs. Nutmeg and clove both work to stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system, which aids in relaxation and body sensitivity.

Other Foods

Raw oysters contain zinc, which raises testosterone and sperm levels, and dopamine, which increases libido. Eggs contain Vitamins B6 and B5, which work to balance hormones and reduce stress. Honey provides the body with energy, fuel and B vitamins, such as boron, that help the body to use estrogen for arousal. Dark chocolate contains phenylethylamine, which provides the body with antioxidants and produces relaxing and positive feelings.
