The Health Management Resource (HMR) diet is a diet plan of meal replacements. There are a variety of different meals available and meal replacement shakes. These meals are not available in stores, but are available online, and in HMR clinics. These meals can be expensive, but you can take the meals anywhere without the need for refrigeration. You can store the meals at room temperature, then microwave them and be ready to eat in a matter of minutes. Two of these meals are consumed a day and there are a variety of different meals available.
2. Add Fresh Fruits and Veggies
Unlike other diets that offer prepackaged meals, HMR allows you to incorporate five servings of fresh fruits and vegetables a day. This allows you the ability to incorporate favorites into your daily diet. Fresh fruits and vegetables allow fiber, less processing and variety in the daily diet. Some may find this inconvenient, because many dieters prefer that their prepackaged diet plan be all inclusive.
3. Enjoy the Shakes
The Health Management Resource Diet includes three weight loss shakes a day. Many dieters do not enjoy shakes, but the HMR shake are made with water so you do not have to worry about keeping milk or juice refrigerated. There are different flavors, chocolate and vanilla, as well as calorie levels available. Health Management Resource also provides recipes for making shake mixes into puddings with added fruit.
4. HMR Diet Support Options
The HMR diet offers two different options for dieters. There is a clinic option. Dieters that go to the clinic receive support and medical advice if needed. However, these clinics are not available in all areas. Some on the HMR diet may not have a clinic in a one hundred mile radius. For those, there is also an at home option available. Different diet kits are available and delivered straight to your home. There is not the personal contact that some dieters may need, but there is also a phone support option for those that live outside the clinic areas.
