Cialis is a prescription medication used in the treatment of erectile dysfunction (ED) in men. This medication is supplied in pill form. Its mechanism of action is the dilation of blood vessels in the penis, which allow for the adequate blood flow necessary to cause erection. The best time to take Cialis depends on how and when the drug works for you, but some men are able to have an erection 30 minutes after taking it, reports Drugs.com.

Aches and Pain

You may develop a headache while taking Cialis 10mg. A headache should be temporary and only last for a few hours. You may also experience muscle aches and back pain while taking this medication. According to the manufacturer, muscle aches and back pain may linger for a period of 12 to 24 hours. To relieve headache and pain, ask your physician if you can take an over-the-counter pain reliever such as acetaminophen or ibuprofen. A warm shower or massage may be helpful to alleviate muscle aches and back pain.

Stuffy or Runny Nose

Stuffy or runny nose are possible side effects of Cilais tablets. These side effects should diminish within a few hours of taking this medication. Ask your health care provider if you can take an over-the-counter decongestant (for a stuffy nose) or antihistamine (for a runny nose) in the event that nasal symptoms become bothersome.

Indigestion

Indigestion is a common side effect of Cialis. You may experience pain or discomfort while digesting food. Several over-the-counter medications such as Tums, Mylanta, and Maalox can be helpful in relieving indigestion. Eating a bland diet and avoiding spicy or greasy foods prior to taking Cialis may be helpful in preventing gastrointestinal discomfort.

Flushing

Some Cialis users have reported skin flushing. You may experience warmth and redness of your skin over your entire body. This side effect is common and should only last for a few hours. If this symptom becomes severe and does not subside, contact your physician prior to taking another dose of Cialis.
