Jelqing is a term used to describe an exercise for the penis that not only is believed to help lengthen the penis, but it also encourages wider growth. The stretching exercise technique is also used to help reduce the effect of Peyronie's disease, or bent or curved penis, caused by plaque buildup on one side of the penis, states the Peyronie's website. The exercises can be performed on a daily basis for a period of weeks.
Milking Technique
The most common jelqing techniques, according to the Jelqing Exercises website, is the method of stroking the penis in a milking motion. This exercise is performed by using the fingers of one hand to hold the base of the penis near the body gently, while the index finger and thumb of the other hand grasps the penis near the base of the shaft. The penis should be semi-erect for this exercise, but not fully erect.
Gently stroke outward from the base of the penis to the head with the circle created by the fingers of the right hand. Repeat the same move using the left hand, switching back and forth. Try 200 to 300 strokes a day for 10-minute increments. Gradually increase to 500 strokes for 15 minutes a day.
You can also lubricate the penis with a medicated lotion or moisturizer; hold the base of the penis shaft with one hand. Place the index finger of the other hand along the bottom of the penile shaft, the thumb on top. To help straighten a curved penis, apply more pressure to the shorter side of the penis as you stroke downward and outward with the hand.
Out-and-Down Technique
Another method of jelqing is to grasp the semi-flaccid penis with one hand. Squeeze and pull the penis instead of stroking it, suggests the Jelqing Exercises website. This method is a little slower and may take some practice to grip and loosen, grip and loosen, rather than using a milking or sliding motion. You can do this up to 100 times to start, or as long as comfortable.
Tao Technique
This jelqing technique is designed to help create a larger penis head. The method is slow, gentle and requires patience and focus. Holding onto the base of the penis with one hand, gently squeeze the penile shaft to send blood toward the head. You can hold the squeezing pressure for about 10 seconds at a time, but release if you feel at all uncomfortable. You should be able to visualize the head of the penis engorging with blood, causing it to grow larger, says the Imaginary Idea website. You can do this technique for up to 10 minutes.
