While the statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration, Danny Vierra, the program director of the Bella Vita Lifestyle Education Center in California and developer of Almighty Cleanse claims the product helps to regulate the digestive tract and aids with the expulsion of intestinal build-up. The ingredients claim to be wild-crafted and consist mainly of several types of natural laxatives.

Cape Aloe

The National Institutes of Health states aloe vera is an effective laxative backed by scientific research. In his report entitled, "The Internal Uses of Aloe Vera," Dr. Ivan Danhof states aloe vera has significant ability to reduce and prevent stomach ulcers. Dr. Ian Tizard of Texas A&M University says aloe also has anti-inflammatory properties. Almighty Cleanse uses Cape Aloe, a derivative of aloe vera.

Senna and Cascara Sagrada

According to the NIH, senna and cascara sagrada are stimulant laxatives that promote movement in the bowel for more effective bowel examinations or surgery. The NIH does not recommend taking stimulant laxatives for more than one week without a doctor's consent, stating that overuse may lead to dependence and damage to the intestine and colon.

Black Walnut Hulls

According to the USDA, the hulls or shells of black walnuts are capable of immobilizing small animals, such as rats, rabbits and fish. The crushed hulls are used as abrasives for metal finishing, oil well drilling, paint, explosives, and cosmetic and dental cleaners. The American Cancer Society (ACS) says that, although herbal practitioners claim that black walnut can remove parasites from the intestinal tract, there is no evidence to back up the claim. The ACS also says that further human studies are required to validate the claim that black walnut has any anticancer properties.

Barberry

According to the University of Maryland Medical Center, barberry contains berberine, which has been shown to have antibacterial properties and promotes immune function. Additionally, the herb improves the symptoms of diarrhea due to its astringent qualities.

Ginger and Cayenne

The NIH states ginger is useful in reducing nausea and may aid in weight loss. According to the nutrition website, WHfoods.org, cayenne may be helpful in preventing ulcers, reducing inflammation, and aiding in weight loss.

Cloves, Wormwood and Fennel

The medical website Pdrhealth.com says wormwood is an herb used to treat nausea, bloating and gas. It also says that cloves and fennel are used to treat gas. The ACS states there is no scientific evidence that wormwood or cloves have the ability to remove parasites or reduce the risk of cancer.
