1. Drink Up

3. Eat More Often
Everyone grew up with the idea of three meals a day and this is a tough habit to break. However the more you often you eat sensible meals the more a person can rev up that metabolic furnace. Understand that proper weight loss still equals calories in versus calories burned, but if you can stay away from those heavy meals and eat five to six smaller healthy meals throughout the day, this can increase a person's metabolism and for the better.
4. Take the Stairs
To have a noticeably affect your metabolic rate exercise more and become more active in your day-to-day life. Minor changes in your lifestyle or habit can have increase the metabolic rate. Take those stairs at work instead of taking the elevator. Park the car at the back of the parking lot and walk farther to your destination. Start slowly with these lifestyle changes and eventually work your way up to exercise plans and gym memberships. Just get up off the couch and get active no matter what it is just keep that body moving.
5. No Skipping
You may be so busy that you have no time to eat but do this at your own metabolic peril. Skipping meals cause the metabolic rate to slow because the body has no idea when the next meal is coming. So never skip meals and if possible eat frequent healthy meals to rev up your metabolic engine.
