NO-Xplode is a pre-workout energy booster drink mix that is often used by bodybuilders, athletes and anyone looking to increase energy, improve muscular performance and build muscle mass. According to BSN's product label, the ingredients in NO-Xplode also increase focus, endurance, motivation and intensity while training. NO-Xplode is one of BSN's top-selling pre-training performance and energy supplement. Unfortunately, the ingredients in NO-Xplode can cause unwanted side effects in certain individuals if not consumed properly.

Sleeplessness

According to BSN's supplement label, sleeplessness can occur if taken within four hours of bedtime. NO-Xplode contains significant amounts of caffeine to increase energy levels during workout sessions, causing the body to remain alert for hours at a time. The label suggests limiting additional consumption of caffeine from other sources to prevent side effects.

Dizziness

According to the product's warning label, feelings of dizziness may occur as a result of consuming NO-Xplode. Possible causes of dizziness could be due to not drinking enough water throughout the day in conjunction with excessive sweating during exercise as a result of the product's ability to increase body temperature for maximum results. BSN recommends adequate intake of fluids to prevent dehydration. According to the Mayo Clinic, when the body becomes dehydrated, the heart is forced to work harder in order to deliver blood through the bloodstream, and this often results in feelings of dizziness.

Heart Palpitations

According to BSN's product guide, some of the main ingredients in NO-Xplode are designed to quickly increase energy and adrenaline. Increased levels of adrenaline in the body can cause the heart rate to amplify in certain individuals, thus resulting in possible heart palpitations, rapid fluttering or heart pounding.

Tingling Skin Sensation

BSN warns that the naturally-occurring amino acid beta-alanine contained in NO-Xplode can cause tingling skin sensations. Although the tingling can be uncomfortable, the product label states that it's perfectly harmless and will typically subside after a couple of hours and decrease in a few days with continued use, depending on the individual.
