1. Water or Fat?
Of all the fad diets that come and go, this diet promises ten pounds of weight loss in a short week. This diet consists of a soup made of numerous vegetables which you eat every day throughout the seven-day course. Throughout the week you supplement your food intake with fruits and cooked or raw vegetables. The 7-day cabbage soup diet doesn't satisfy you over the course of the week for much solid food. There will not be any meat or rice or pasta all week. Most people that have tried the diet have indeed lost ten pounds but many attribute it to water loss instead of actual body weight.
2. Rated R for Adults Only
This diet is for adults only. The diet is a short-lived diet plan, so it may be easier to stay on than long-term diets that you are chomping at the bit to be done with so your can eat normally again. The regimen of this diet is so severe that you can't stay on it for a long period of time. It is only supposed to be for a week. The food that you do intake on the diet is very low in calories and low fat but most of all is almost zero protein. The diet is not for children or adolescents. They need a diet that supplies fats, protein and carbohydrates to build their bodies and supply the energy they need for their developing bodies.
3. Get a Clean Slate Again
The diet is high in vegetables and fiber. This makes this diet great for a digestive tract cleanse. The fiber will help clean out the old garbage in your colon and intestines. The foods that are on the approved list make this diet very high in antioxidants. It is a good alternative to some of the other detox diets out there today. You will have lots of food to eat, so you shouldn't get hungry.
4. Feel Like the Tank is Empty
One of the hardest things about this diet is that for people that can't or don't deal well with little or no protein in their diet. Low or no protein in the diet results for some people in a lack of energy and stamina in their day-to-day lives.
5. Easy Does It
When you break the fast from meat and dairy products, start back slowly. If you suddenly flood your system with milk, dairy and meats you will probably find that your system rebels and gives you problems. Ease back onto normal food and you should have no problems.
