Information on Kinoki Foot Detox Pads

Kinoki Detox Foot Patches are advertised through infomercials and sold as a way to detoxify the body. A blend of herbs is placed on the foot pads to allegedly aid them in the process of pulling out impurities from the body. Keep in mind that the Food and Drug Administration hasn't evaluated the claims made by the makers of Kinoki Detox Foot Patches.

Benefits

The manufacturer claims that toxins are expelled from sweat and soaked up by the foot pad. The impurities allegedly eliminated include heavy metals, metabolic waste and other toxins. After using the foot pads, you reportedly will have increased energy, improved blood circulation, better sleep and a less stressed immune system.

Features

Ingredients found in the foot pads include bamboo vinegar, tourmaline, lavender oil, emollient base and a blend of what the manufacturer refers to as "detox herbs."

Directions

To use, the manufacturer states that you should place one pad on the sole of the foot at bedtime. Leave the foot pad on throughout the night and remove in the morning. When you first start using the foot pads, they will have a black or brown color when removed. Continue usage until the foot pad turns a light gray.

Considerations

According to the Device Watch website, there is no scientific proof that detox foot pads work. Topical application does not allow the adhesive pads to soak up toxins that could be circulating in your body. The skin is not an organ used to detox the body from harmful substances. Sweat is used to regulate body temperature, but has little to do with toxin removal.

Misconceptions

A common misconception is that since the foot pads change color after wearing, it is a sign that impurities have been removed from the body. The pads are not likely to pull away toxins, parasites and metals, but more likely the change in color is from dead skin, dirt and debris found at the bottom of your feet.
