Anytime you starve your body of certain nutrients, such as the complex carbohydrates found in good whole grain foods, such as rice and whole wheat bread, you will lose weight. The Abs Diet banks on this by promising you'll see results or they give you your money back. This may sound like a great deal, but no matter what high protein and low carbohydrate diet you choose, you will see initial results.
4. Flash Dieting is the Abs Method of Choice
The Abs Diet focuses on quick weight loss, which anyone will tell you is not good for your system. In fact, most people who lose weight quickly are in some sort of metabolic destruction mode, or may be critically ill with some disease such as cancer. Consider that your body did not get this way overnight and losing the weight slowly is the best course of action. Slow weight loss through sensible eating, regular exercise and eating a diet of whole foods is what most doctors agree is the best. Ask your doctor and see what weight loss plan they recommend for your personal situation.
5. Cut the Exercise and Still Get a Six Pack?
The Abs Diet also says that you can get that great flat stomach without exercise. Anyone who tries this may be disappointed. Building muscle does require both good nutrition and regular exercise. In fact, weight training helps the body's metabolism run more effectively and helps your body's systems function at a higher level. This means a dose of regular exercise actually keeps you from getting more colds. The Abs Diet focuses on eating only and doesn't include this essential health building exercise your body needs.
