Losing weight fast without dieting can seem like a difficult challenge. However, there are a few exercises that burn calories so steadily and quickly, that altering your diet may not be necessary to lose weight as long as you are already eating a healthy, balanced diet. Many of these exercises also allow you to get out and see the sights or compete in a fun, challenging activity.

Running

Whether you prefer running indoors on the treadmill or in a rural or city setting, running is one of the best ways to lose weight without dieting. Long distance runners burn an incredible amount of calories, and even running shorter distances--less than two miles--can burn hundreds of calories per day with a fairly minimal time investment.

Swimming

According to ShapeFit.com, doing the breast stroke for 30 minutes can help you burn up to 400 calories. Swimming can also help build muscle and strength, as it is a total body workout.

Cross-Country Skiing

Cross-country skiing is a full body workout that can burn a significant amount of calories in a very short period of time. Whether you choose to do your cross-country skiing inside on a machine at the gym or outside in the great outdoors, cross-country skiing can help you drop weight in a hurry without going on a diet.

Sprinting

Sprinting is a wonderful exercise for those that want to lose weight, as it burns a huge amount of calories while you are doing it, and it can help keep your metabolic rate up several days after exercising, helping to you to burn even more calories.
