Facial exercises are the most natural anti-aging treatment that can be effective in combating the frog-like appearance of the neckline so often associated with aging. Facial exercises should be used consistently to reduce this appearance of sagging skin and slack muscles. To achieve or maintain your tighter chin and neckline, use the exercises once every day unless otherwise instructed by your doctor or physical therapist.

Throat Firming

Begin this neck and throat workout by sitting comfortably upright. In this position, look up at the sky or ceiling while keeping your lips closed and free of tension. Open your mouth and stick your tongue out, reaching down toward your chin with the tip of your tongue. Hold your tongue in this position for 10 counts, and return to normal. You can repeat the exercise several times until the muscles become fatigued.

Neck Tightener

Begin by sitting comfortably upright to perform this effective exercise to strengthen your neck and throat muscles. Tilt your head back and look up at the sky or ceiling. While keeping your lips closed, begin to simulate a chewing movement. You should feel the muscles working in your neck and throat area immediately. Repeat 20 times.

Chin Lifter

Ohio State University Medical Center outlines a thorough series of exercises for strengthening the mouth and chin area. Wrinkle your nose while making your upper lip protrude. Then, pucker your lips and follow the pucker with a lower lip pout, then smile. Follow the smile by tightening your lips across your teeth and drawing the corners of your mouth to the sides. Finish the series by drawing the corners of your mouth down and finally, moving your mouth from one side to the other.
