4 Ways to Get a Total Body Workout With Jazzercise
1. Learn All the Moves
Jazzercise is an upbeat, dance-inspired workout that teaches you the moves to get a total body workout. Learn the different types of moves to get your body up and burning calories. This is one workout where you do not have to have perfect form to get all of the benefits from the workout routines. Try your best to master each step, follow your instructor during the routines and above all, have fun doing it. The more you connect with the workout, no matter how silly you think you look, the better results you will have.
2. Focus on the Whole Dance Workout
Engage yourself in each section of the workout. The warm up, cardio, toning and cool down have been tweaked to get results. You need each of these four parts of the workout to achieve the maximum results. Focus in on every aspect including your breathing, your body's response to different moves and your energy level. Put aside the stresses of your day. Think only about the work out you are doing. Find a class that you have fun in and that you look forward to jumping into each week.
3. Do Your Best
Success with Jazzercise is in your hands. How you approach the class will determine how much you succeed. You do not have to do every step perfectly. You do not even have to be with the beat all the time. The results of this program come from your willingness to do your best in each class. Push yourself as hard as you can in each section of the workout. Aim to stretch a little further each class. Try to reach your aerobic heart rate and maintain it at a higher level than before. Don't worry about how you look while you are exercising. Have fun and keep moving to see total body results.
4. Take the Moves Home
Jazzercise teaches you how to stretch out your muscles to improve flexibility and reduce the occurrence of injury. Part of your homework is to keep your body in shape between classes. Evaluate your body the day after a Jazzercise class. Stretch out any sore or tight muscles. Do not allow yourself to be stiff and uncomfortable. Your body keeps working out even though your hour class is over. Help sustain your body's progress with your at home stretching.
