Fitness videos can save you time and money, as you don't need to travel to and from the gym or pay for a gym membership. Fitness videos are available in many genres for a variety of fitness levels. People who are more advanced in their exercising are often looking for videos that offer intense workouts. Be sure to consult your physician before beginning any exercise program.

P90X

P90X is commonly known as an at-home boot camp program--a program that incorporates strength training, cardio and flexibility. The three-phase program, led by Tony Horton, was designed to extend for 90 days. However, you can repeat the program as often as you want. You will need a full set of dumbbells, a pull-up bar and an exercise mat. A resistance band is optional. This program is not for beginners. Before beginning the program, you should perform a fit test, which is included in the video.

Insanity

Insanity is another home workout program, and it may be the toughest workout ever put onto video for home use. However, this program uses no equipment, and all resistance training is done using your own body weight. Maximum interval training is the main concept in this workout. There are long, intense periods of exercise followed by short active recovery periods. This program, suitable for both sexes, is designed to last 60 days. This program is not for beginners, and you should perform a fit test before beginning the program.

Montenegro Method MM21: Endurance

This video is tough but time-efficient. You can choose from among three interval workouts, each about 25 minutes long. Plan to do just eight moves per video, but they are advanced and will require a lot of energy. The moves include push-ups, squat thrusts and mountain climbers. This workout is not for beginners. Do not skip the warm-up or cool-down segments because you will need them to do this workout safely.
