Your lymphatic system is a key part of your immune system, transporting immune cells throughout your body. The lymphatic system also carries away cellular waste, including environmental toxins and dead cells. Cleansing the lymphatic system of that debris can result in it cleaning your body better, with a corresponding improvement in your health. Make sure you drink plenty of water when you are undergoing a lymphatic cleanse, to flush out all the toxins from your body.
Cranberries
The most widely available natural product which cleanses the lymphatic system is cranberry juice. Containing multiple compounds which serve to remove fat from the lymphatic system, cranberry juice is an easy way give your lymphatic system a quick flush. Make sure you drink only the unsweetened cranberry juice, as the added sugar in the sweetened kind will produce an insulin response which will put pressure on your lymph system. If pure cranberry juice is too tart for you, try diluting it with some water or unsweetened apple juice.
Echinacea
Echinacea is famous as an immune system booster, so it's not surprising that it works on the lymphatic system, the main immune system in the body. Drink a tea made from 1 or 2 teaspoons dried root in one cup of water, three times a day for a period of two weeks for a thorough lymphatic cleanse.
Cleavers
No, not the kitchen implement, the herb, Galium aparine. Cleavers is a general system cleanser, cleaning the blood and urinary tracts as well as the lymphatic system, and reducing inflammation throughout your body. Drink a tea made from 1 to 2 teaspoons per cup of water three times a day, or drink juice from the fresh plant twice daily. Do not use cleavers if you are diabetic.
Goldenseal
Goldenseal is probably the most famous of the lymphatic cleansing herbs, but ensure you are using true goldenseal, Hydrastis canadensis, as there are several other herbs which can be called by that name. Like cleavers, goldenseal is a general anti-inflammatory herb, but it works more specifically on the lymphatic system than cleavers. It works well in conjunction with echinacea. Drink a tea made from ½ to 1 tsps. of the herb three times a day. Do not use if you are pregnant or have high blood pressure.
