Wheat germ oil comes from the germ, or embryo, of the wheat seed and is high in vitamin E. It's a common ingredient in nutritional supplements, baked goods and other processed foods. It's also possible to use wheat germ oil as a cooking oil, although it has a strong flavor and becomes rancid quickly.
