Overview

Vitamins are a necessary part of diets and daily consumptions as they assist in promoting a healthy body. Vitamins are found in a variety of foods, liquids or supplements. Toxins enter the body through air, water and food. Basic detoxification can be done through vitamins, such as vitamin A, E and C.

Vitamin A

Vitamin A, also called retinol, is fat-soluble vitamin and can be found in fat tissues or stores. It comes from from two sources, provitamin carotenoids and preformed retinoids. Retinoids are found in animal sources such as dairy, eggs and kidneys. Carotenoids are found in plants like carrots and yellow vegetables. According to MedlinePlus, Vitamin A is required for processes like cellular growth and vision. Vitamin A is an antioxidant and is essential in the detoxification of toxins in the body.

Vitamin E

Vitamin E is a fat-soluble vitamin, containing antioxidant properties. Vitamin E comes in eight different forms. Vitamin E is used to prevent and treat a number of health conditions, such heart disease and cancer. Vitamin E holds antioxidant properties, so a deficiency of Vitamin E can be a risk to one's health. According to Dr. Ted H. Spence from chetday.com, when antioxidants are low, detoxification in the body will not take place.

Vitamin C

Vitamin C is a water-soluble vitamin, which means it leaves the body, so an individual must keep consuming vitamin C. It is found in the skin and is involved with a number of important bodily functions like wound healing, energy production and fighting off viruses which make people sick. Vitamin C is also a antioxidant, so it helps remove toxins from the body. A lack of energy and no antioxidants in the body can cause poor health, as they are required to remove wastes and toxins.
