Extreme Weight Loss Secrets

There are many weight loss secrets to help you get into shape fast. These techniques are extreme and should not be attempted before consulting with your doctor. For example, if you have not worked out in 20 years and you suddenly begin training six days a week, you are very likely to be injured or encounter severe muscle soreness. Add extreme weight loss techniques to your program to get fit fast.

Fasting

Fasting accelerates weight loss and cleanses the body, according to "The Miracle of Fasting." You do not need to do a full fast to get many of the benefits of this age-old technique. The traditional fast calls for drinking only purified water for one to seven days. A twist on this would be to eat only fresh, raw fruits, vegetables and nuts for one to three days.

Low-Carbohydrate

Low-carbohydrate diets can get you lean fast, though they are not practical or healthy in the long run. To do this diet, you take in only 30 to 50 gm of carbs per day, preferably in the morning before or after a workout. A helpful twist on this popular diet is loading carbs for 48 hours every five days. This helps to balance metabolic rate and prevent muscle protein loss.

NA Sets

"Xtreme Lean" recommends NA or negative accentuated sets. To do these you lower the weight on any exercise to a slow, controlled six-second count. Then lift normally. Add only one set of these per muscle group per workout. NA sets cause the body to burn more fat for up to 72 hours.

Cheating

You must cheat if you want to get lean fast. The body responds to dieting by lowering its metabolic rate. According to "Combat the Fat" author Jeff Anderson, even doubling your caloric intake for one day helps to burn more fat. Do not do that, but instead have one free or cheat meal per week.

ACV Drink

"The Miracle of Fasting" recommends the ACV or apple cider vinegar drink to accelerate weight loss. Mix two tbsp apple cider vinegar, one packet of stevia, 8 oz of water and lemon to taste. Drink three to five times per day to cleanse, suppress appetite, stabilize blood sugar and burn more fat.

Healthy Fats

Taking in more of the right kinds of fats can help your body burn more fat, according to "Supplements 101." To do this, take a tbsp of MCT or medium-triglycerides oil, flaxseed oil or coconut oil three to six times per day with meals. Other helpful fat-burning fats include CLA, omega-3 fish oil and sesame seed oil.

Increased Protein

By increasing your protein intake to 1 gm to 1.5 gm per pound of your body weight, you can increase thermogenesis, or fat burning. Make sure that your increase in protein coincides with a reduction in carbs and fats so that total calories stay within your restricted range.
