Breasts come in all shapes and sizes, but some women feel theirs are just not quite right. Some wish for bigger breasts, or that they had more cleavage, or sat higher. No matter what your complaint is, there are a variety of methods available to enhance the way your breasts look, from simply changing your shirt to having plastic surgery.

Clothing and Cosmetics

One of the easiest ways to enhance your breasts is to wear clothes and accessories that flatter and draw attention to your chest. Wearing padded bras will make breasts look larger, and push-up bras will lift them and push them together to enhance cleavage. Wearing deep V-necks and dusting bronzer or blush between your breasts will also help enhance cleavage. Decorative accents on the bust such as sequins, ruffles and gathered fabric add volume to give the illusion of a bigger chest, according to "Cosmopolitan."

Natural Enhancement

Many women may want to change the size or shape of their breasts without surgery, and turn to natural enhancement methods. Doing exercises that work out the pectoral muscles, such as push-ups or chest presses, can make breasts appear larger because they build out the muscle under the breast tissue, according to online magazine Ayruvedic Cure. Regular, daily breast massages are another method to enhance breasts; massage increases blood flow and can stimulate tissue growth. According to DocShop.com, herbal breast enhancement pills and creams, and hormone treatments are other popular options, but you should consult a doctor before beginning any herbal treatments to discuss possible side effects.

Surgical Enhancement

Breast augmentation and breast lifts are some of the most commonly performed plastic surgeries on women. According to PlasticSurgery.org, a breast augmentation is a way to surgically increase breast size through implants. An incision is made under the breast, around the nipple, or in the armpit, and an implant made of either saline or silicone is inserted. The implant can sit under the pectoral muscle, or directly behind the breast tissue. A breast lift is a procedure to raise and firm sagging breasts, according to PlasticSurgery.org. An incision is made around the areola and the breast tissue is lifted and re-shaped. The nipple and areola are then re-positioned and any excess skin is removed.
