The Coleman Co. first started producing camping stoves in the early 1920s. Since then, the name Coleman has become synonymous with camping stoves and today the company continues to produce innovative and high-quality equipment. Whether liquid fuel, propane or a dual fuel system, there is a Coleman camping stove to fit any situation from backyard cookouts to extreme backpacking.

Propane Stoves

Coleman propane stoves use liquid propane gas as fuel. A small, portable canister of pressurized propane or a larger canister with higher capacity can be connected to the stove. When the propane is turned on and ignited, a steady and fully adjustable flame burns within the stove. Coleman propane stoves are excellent for camping, RVing, tailgating or backyard cookouts. These propane stoves provide wind baffles and multiple burners that can handle pots, pans, griddles and other cooking utensils.

Liquid Fuel Stoves

Liquid fuel stoves typically burn petroleum-based Coleman fuel or other forms of white gas. The gas is contained in a small tank which is then pressurized with air to produce a constant flow to the burners. These stoves produce significantly more heat particularly at subfreezing temperatures. Tough and reliable, Coleman liquid fuel stoves provide up to three burners for larger scale cooking. Also fitted with baffles to protect against the wind, these stoves work well in even the harshest conditions. Liquid fuel stoves are especially useful in areas where propane is unavailable by petroleum-based fuels can be found.

Backpacking Stoves

Coleman backpacking stoves, also known as canister stoves, are simple and small, generally with only one burner. Specifically designed to be lightweight, these stoves are excellent for backwoods hiking, mountaineering and other situations where backpack weight is a critical issue. These stoves are easy to set up and operate and come in propane or liquid fuel types. Several types of Coleman backpacking stoves are capable of using either type of fuel.

Portable Grills

Coleman also produces a series of portable grills. Fueled with propane, these grills range from a small single burner unit to larger multiburner systems with folding stands capable of repairing large meals. These portable grills can also function as camp stoves.

Cordless Appliances

Also available from Coleman are a range of cooking utensils. These include slow cookers, portable ovens, fryers, hot water generators and even a drip coffee maker that can be used on the camp stove burner.
