Most blistering rashes come from contact with oils in plants such as poison oak and poison ivy, or from exposure to harsh chemicals. Some diseases, such as chicken pox, shingles and measles, also cause blistering rashes. If you develop a rash with blisters, it is important to first assess possible causes. If you rule out diseases that require a physician's attention, you may want to try homeopathic remedies.

Homeopathy

Homeopathy has been around as an alternative treatment for over 200 years. It is based on the theory that "like cures like," and its remedies are made with that in mind. If something causes a symptom, homeopathy believes that minute amounts of the same substance will treat the symptom.
As an alternative medicine, homeopathy is considered safe and is not required to undergo rigorous testing by the FDA. While there are few tests that show that it works, there is plenty of anecdotal evidence to back up the few limited trials.
Homeopathic remedies are made by diluting substances millions of times, until only minute amounts of the substance remain. Homeopaths believe that the more the substance is diluted, the stronger it becomes.
Because homeopathy treats symptoms, not disease, you should research each medication before use. You can purchase homeopathic medications in health and natural food stores, and the store will have a book of symptoms to help you decide which product to buy.

Rhus Toxicodendron

Rhus tox is made from poison oak and is used to treat the symptoms of rashes caused by poison oak and poison ivy. It treats rashes that burn and itch intensely and that have blisters.

Anacardium Orientale

Anacardium orientale is also effective on poison oak. If your rash blisters, causes intense itching and is made worse by heat, this remedy may work for you. Use it on other types of contact dermatitis as well.

Graphites

When a rash has eruptions that ooze fluid, graphites may be the treatment. If the rash gets worse from heat or flares up at night, that is more indication that graphites may work. Graphites also help clear up cystic acne, a severe form of acne characterized by hard under-the-skin pustules.

Apis Mellifica, Clematix, Ranunculus Bulbosus

Apis is one of the options for treating shingles, a viral infection related to chicken pox. Shingles causes a painful rash with blisters, usually along a nerve.
Clematix may be indicated if you have horrible itching, burning blisters and if the rash is made worse by cold water.
Ranunculus bulbosus helps with shingles that appears on the ribcage.
Shingles should always be assessed by a physician, especially if it occurs near the eyes.
