Vitamins and supplements are essential to overall body health. They are also helpful in improving the overall health and growth of bodily and facial hair. If there is a lack of certain vitamins in the body, such as vitamins B and E, bodily and facial hair may not grow.

Vitamin B

B vitamins are needed for healthy hair growth and to prevent hair loss, as a B-12 deficiency can cause hair to fall out. The most efficient way to get the necessary B vitamins is to take a B-complex supplement. The B-complex vitamin will contain components such as biotin, which is important for maintaining and increasing hair growth and preventing hair loss. The B vitamins can be taken individually if preferred, but it is easier to take the vitamin B-complex pill to avoid taking numerous pills.

MSM

Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM) provides the body with the proper amount of nutrients for hair growth. The sulfur in MSM acts as a growing aid for hair. The sulfur is required for healthy collagen and keratin, which makes up hair. There have been no adverse side effects found with taking MSM for hair growth.

Vitamin E

Vitamin E can also contribute to healthy hair growth. Vitamin E intake will help to build the immune system, which helps increase circulation, a vital component to hair growth. Vitamin E can be taken in a pill form or by consuming foods such as leafy green vegetables, soy beans, raw nuts and seeds and wheat germ oil.
