Kicking, jabbing and fighting your way through a workout helps release stress while working up a sweat. The American Council on Exercise found that cardio kickboxing classes help participants burn 350 to 450 calories per hour while increasing heart rate and increasing strength and flexibility. Try kickboxing at home with a beginner video, or occasionally skip your regular class with a more advanced video.

'Kung Fu Kickboxing Workout'

Led by two renowned martial arts champions, the "Kung Fu Kickboxing Workout" received 4.5 out of 5 stars on Amazon.com and was also well-reviewed by Fitness blogger Jenna Mahoney. Mahoney says "this is the absolute best ever! I mean honestly, if I were to star in my own workout video, this is the one I would make." This video allows you to choose a version that matches your ability level and provides you with an introduction to the moves before putting them into action. Broken down into 30-second segments, the moves encourage participants to work at their own pace, doing only what they can comfortably achieve within each 30-second segment.

'Tae Bo Kicks'

Kids can also benefit from the constantly changing moves and activity that kickboxing provides. Billy Blanks, creator of the popular Tae Bo kickboxing workouts created "Tae Bo Kicks" for kids ages 5 to 13. Blanks teaches simple and effective moves in a way that will keep your child active, engaged and excited about fitness. Despite the kid-friendly design, "Tae Bo Kicks" challenges adults to join in, too, providing an outlet to encourage family fitness.
