An order of Outback Steakhouse Aussie Cheese Fries with Ranch Dressing will meet a day's worth of calories and then some. These fries come in at 2,900 calories, 182 g fat and 240 g carbohydrates, reports women'shealthmag.com. That's 56 percent of calories from fat.
Chicken Pot Pie
The folks at Nutrition Action Healthletter have put Marie Callender's Chicken Pot Pie on their list of worst foods. The pot pie appears to be a single serving, but according to the nutrition facts label, it is actually for two. This chicken pot pie contains more than 1,000 calories and 24 g saturated fat, more than a person needs in one day.
Salad
Eating a salad at a restaurant can be a healthy choice, unless it's the Grande Taco Salad with Taco Beef at On the Border. This salad has 1,450 calories, 102 g fat, 78 g carbohydrates and 2,410 mg sodium. This is the worst salad ever made, according to women'shealthmag.com.
Soup
Soup can be a wise choice when you're trying to lose weight and eat better. But the Nutrition Action Healthletter says Progresso Soups are loaded with salt, meeting half the daily recommendations of sodium in one serving.
Pizza
Looks like Chicago takes the prize for worst pizza. Women'shealthmag.com says Uno Chicago Grill's Classic Cheese Deep Dish personal pizza has 2,310 calories, 162 g fat and 4,470 mg sodium; 63 percent of its calories are from fat.
Ice Cream
A serving size of ice cream is one-half cup. A serving of Haagen Dazs ice cream has 300 calories, half a day's worth of saturated fat and one-third of a day's worth of cholesterol, explains Nutrition Action Healthletter.
Hamburger
According to women'shealthmag.com, the worst burger belongs to Carl's Jr., whose Double Six Dollar burger has 1,520 calories and 111 g fat.
Pasta
Nutrition Action Healthletter says Olive Garden's Tour of Italy is like eating three meals instead of one. The Tour consists of homemade lasagna, breaded chicken parmagiano and creamy fettuccini Alfredo. This meal contains 1,450 calories, 33 g saturated fat and 3,830 mg sodium.
Cinnamon Buns
Supersizing is no longer just for fast food. Pillsbury Grands! Cinnabon Cinnamon Buns are larger than the original, containing 310 calories. Each cinnamon bun contains 2 g saturated fat and 2 1/2 g trans fat; some health experts recommend only 2 g trans fat all day, according to Nutrition Action Healthletter.
Coffee Drink
Coffee is no longer just coffee. Now it's mocha and caramel and whipped cream. The Nutrition Action Healthletter lists Starbucks Venti White Chocolate Mocha as one of the worst foods. At 580 calories and 15 g saturated fat, it's a meal in a cup.
