Boot camp exercises provide a comprehensive workout routine for multiple muscle groups and cardiovascular fitness. Boot camp workouts take you through a quick succession of activities to elevate the heart rate and tone the muscles, putting you well on your way to the 30 minutes of exercise a day advocated by the American Heart Association. While many gyms offer boot camp classes, you can enjoy your own free boot camp at home with videos and fitness plans.

Exercise TV

Exercise TV is a website home to lots of free workout videos you can stream from your computer, including multiple cardio boot camp exercise videos. If you want to watch the free videos, you have to watch them online and view a short advertisement, although Exercise TV does sell DVDs and video downloads as well. The free boot camp videos range from two- to three-minute videos offering instruction or illustrating a technique to full workout videos of 10 to 30 minutes or longer. Check out titles like "Cardio Sculpt," "Burn" and "Tank Top Arms" for a full-length cardio boot camp workout.

The Diet Channel

The Diet Channel has a short article that includes free boot camp exercises for a 15-minute workout. The Diet Channel's recommended fitness routine includes just four boot camp exercises, each of which you should do for eight to 15 repetitions, repeating the complete circuit of all the exercises three times. Because this cardio boot camp routine includes strength training as well, some of the boot camp exercises call for small free weights of 3 to 8 lbs. each. Some pictures are included to illustrate the exercises.

Fitness Magazine

Fitness Magazine offers several free workout plans online, with pictures to illustrate correct body position for each of the boot camp exercises. Two of the cardio boot camp options from Fitness Magazine are the seven-minute "Booty Boot Camp" and the 10-minute "Upper Body Boot Camp." Each consists of six boot camp exercises, and the upper-body routine uses a 4 to 8 lb. medicine ball to increase the strength-training component.

Free Workouts Guide

Free Workouts Guide is another option for free boot camp fitness plans, and includes flash animation of each of the boot camp exercises to illustration the body motion. Choose a 10-minute, 20-minute or longer workout plan, or create your own fitness plan by combining your favorite boot camp exercises.
