Suave, a haircare product line produced by Unilever, offers many varieties of conditioners. All Suave conditioners contain water and cetearyl alcohol, a fatty alcohol used as an emulsion stabilizer. Although many of the ingredients are common across several varieties, each conditioner contains a unique set of ingredients and scents.
Daily Clarifying Conditioner
Suave's daily clarifying conditioner, which is touted as "a 100% oil free formula designed to bring out softness and shine" contains water (aqua), cetyl alcohol, cetrimonium chloride, potassium chloride, distearyldimonium chloride, fragrance (parfum), disodium edta, dmdm hydantoin, pvp, methylchloroisothiazolinone and methylisothiazolinone.
Toasted Vanilla & Sugar Conditioner
Suave's toasted vanilla & sugar conditioner, which Suave states "moisturizes with vitamin E" contains water (aqua), cetyl alcohol, cetrimonium chloride, fragrance (parfum), potassium chloride, distearyldimonium chloride, disodium edta, dmdm hydantoin, silk powder, tocopheryl acetate (vitmain e acetate), methylchloroisothiazolinone, methylisothiazolinone, vanilla planifolia extract (vanilla planifolia), sweet almond extract (prunus amygdalus dulcis) and orange 4 (cl 15510).
Strawberry
This strawberry scented moisturizer made by Suave contains water (aqua), cetearyl alcohol, propylene glycol, methylchloroisothiazolinone, polysorbate 20, methylisothiazolinone, strawberry (fragaria vesca) juice, d&c red 33 and d&c orange 4 (cl 15510).
Humectant
Humecant, defined as "a substance that promotes retention of moisture" is the focus of Suave's humectant conditioner that contains water (aqua), cetearyl alcohol, centrimonium chloride, dimethicone, fragrance (parfum), quaternium 18, potassium chloride, hydroxyethylcellulose, propylene glycol, disodium edta, tea dodecylbenzene sulfonate, dmdm hydantoin, glycerin, panthenol, hair keratin amino acids, sodium chloride, methylchloroisothiazolinone and methylisothiazolinone.
Lavender
Suave's lavender conditioner is based around lavender, a "purple flowered plant that yields an oil often used in perfumery," and contains water (aqua), cetyl alcohol, lavender (lavandula angustifolia) extract , passionflower (passiflora edulis) extract, peppermint (mentha piperita) extract , rose (rose canina) extract , panthenol, cetrimonium chloride, fragrance (parfum), potassium chloride.
Rosemary Mint
Suave states that this product is "infused with 100% natural rosemary and mint, which are known for their invigorating properties." Contents are water (aqua), cetyl alcohol, cyclopentasiloxane, stearamidopropyl dimethylamine, eucalyptus globulus leaf oil, mentha viridis (spearmint) leaf oil, simmondsia chinensis (jojoba) seed oil, aloe barbadensis leaf juice [aloe vera], cymbopogon schoenanthus oil [lemongrass], rosmarinus officinalis (rosemary) leaf oil, chamomilla recutita (matricaria) flower/leaf extract, lavandula angustifolia (lavender) flower extract, dimethiconol, fragrance (parfum), lactic acid, potassium chloride, disodium edta, tea-dodecylbenzenesulfonate, peg-150 distearate, methylchloroisothiazolinone and methylisothiazolinone.
Aloe Vera & Ginseng
Suave touts this product as providing hair that is "full of body". Almond & Shea Butter
This conditioner is "infused with 100% natural almond and shea butter, which are known for their rich emollients" according to Suave.
