Apples
Apples contain many key nutrients and vitamins our body needs in a small number of calories. They keep you fuller longer due to the high fiber content they naturally contain. According to "USA Today," eating an apple 15 minutes before a meal can help you consume an average of 187 fewer calories, due to the amount of fiber in apples. Fewer calories equals weight loss.
Breakfast
Breakfast has always been called the most important meal of the day, and for good reason. By skipping breakfast, you are setting yourself up to overeat later in the day because your metabolism slows and blood sugar drops, according to Meals Matter. It is important to eat a balanced breakfast such as whole-grain toast or yogurt to help your body feel nourished, making you less likely to overeat throughout the day.
Green Tea
Pure green tea steeped in hot water has many weight loss benefits. The Mayo Clinic notes that drinking green tea can result in weight loss due to increased metabolism. Other studies suggest green tea helps lower cholesterol levels due to the high content of substances called polyphenols.
Cinnamon
Cinnamon is that sweet little spice that makes everything nice. According to Penn State University, eating 1/4 to 2 tsp. of cinnamon a day can reduce cholesterol by 10 to 25 percent. Sprinkle cinnamon on oatmeal or an apple to really help reduce cholesterol and feel full, altogether resulting in weight loss.
