Cleveland, Ohio, is a bustling city on the banks of Lake Erie, a combination that makes for wild experiences that will get the adrenaline pumping. The nice thing is that you don't need to be an expert to get the crazy rushes that Cleveland has to offer. Beginners of many kinds of activities will find many wild things to do in Cleveland.

Skydiving

One wild way to see the sights of Cleveland is from 15,000 feet up from the ground. When you jump with Cleveland Skydiving, you will get a rush free-falling at 120 miles per hour. Both tandem and solo jumps are available depending on your experience level. The complete experience only takes a few hours. You can also sign up for Accelerated Free-Fall, or AFF, training.

Erie Wreck Diving

The Lake Erie Wreck Divers are a wild bunch that regularly dive to dozens of wrecked ships at the bottom of Lake Erie, including the Marshall Butters steamer, which is over 100 feet long. This group includes members from Ohio and Canada. Cleveland is conveniently located on the shores of Lake Erie, which makes getting to that wreck site on the lake that much easier.

Yacht Racing

Yachts aren't just for boating out on the lake to have some drinks with friends. Members of the Cleveland Yacht Racing Association set out on their fleet of more than 20 independently-owned yachts to race on 24 courses on Lake Erie. Don't worry if you don't have your own yacht as you can sign up to be part of a crew.

Roller Coasters

Just an hour from downtown Cleveland is the "roller coaster capital of the world." Cedar Point Amusement Park has more than a dozen high-speed roller coasters. You can get your heart racing on the Magnum XL-200 , which tops 200 feet in height and goes 72 miles per hour. At the time it was built in 1989, it was the tallest and fastest roller coaster in the world. Top Thrill Dragster is another pulse pounder, which launches you from 0 to 120 mph in less than four seconds and takes you up 420 feet. Cedar Point also boasts beaches and the water park area called Soak City, where you can float on lazy rivers, swim in the wave pool and take in 18 acres of wet and wild fun.

Paintball

Paintballing is another wild option for those hitting the town in Cleveland. Swings-N-Things Family Fun Park has a professionally-designed paintball field with concrete obstacles and burnt-out cars. Paintball enthusiasts of any level will enjoy pelting family members or even complete strangers during a game. This venue rents out any necessary equipment and paintball guns, so all you need to bring is your excitement.
