Herbs can support women through their reproductive years and beyond. Women's health herbs may contain molecular structures that are similar to the female hormones estrogen and progesterone. This allows them to occupy estrogen and progesterone receptor sites, which gives them similar actions as those hormones in your body. They may also affect your hormone levels, raising or lowering estrogen and progesterone where necessary. Consult with a certified herbologist or a health-care professional prior to taking any herbs for women's health.
