Headache, tiredness and dizziness may be caused by one of several common conditions. According to MayoClinic.com, one particular condition that can cause headaches, dizziness and tiredness is chronic fatigue syndrome. If you experience more than two headaches per week, symptoms get worse or fatigue occurs more than normal, contact a health care provider.

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome

Chronic fatigue syndrome is a condition that occurs when you feel tired regardless of how many hours of rest you get. The cause of chronic fatigue syndrome is still widely unknown, but according to the MayoClinic.com, it may be related to a viral infection or due to psychological stress. Aside from headache, fatigue and dizziness, other symptoms of chronic fatigue syndrome include a loss of memory or concentration, unexplained muscle pain or soreness and painful or mildly enlarged lymph nodes in the armpits or neck. Some people also report disturbances in vision, sensitivity to light, pain in the eyes, dry eyes and blurry vision. Women are diagnosed four times more than men, but gender does not play a significant role in being a risk factor. The condition is more common in people ages 40 to 50 years old, but it can affect individuals at any age.

Hypoglycemia

Hypoglycemia is a condition that happens when the body is low on blood sugar--glucose, according to the University of Maryland Medical Center. Symptoms of hypoglycemia include dizziness, headache and fatigue. Other symptoms reported include cold sweats, confusion, and excessive sweating and muscle pain. Typically hypoglycemia is found in people who have diabetes. Diabetics who receive too much insulin through therapy or other medication can suffer from hypoglycemia. Treatment for hypoglycemia typically requires eating or drinking something with sugar. People with diabetes should be careful not to eat too much sugar or they risk hyperglycemia--blood sugar that is too high. If hypoglycemia is left untreated, a coma or loss of consciousness may occur.

Anemia

Anemia is an illness where the body doesn't have enough healthy red blood cells to deliver enough oxygen to other tissues, according to Mayo Clinic.com. If someone has anemia, the person will probably feel tired a lot. Other symptoms of anemia include headache, dizziness, pale skin, shortness of breath, and cold or clammy hands. There is more than one form of anemia and each with its own cause. Anemia is a condition that can be short-term or long-term, and its severity can range from mild to extreme. Certain risk factors can increase the chances of developing anemia. These factors include maintaining a poor diet, certain intestinal disorders and family history. Depending on the type of anemia, treatment can range from pain medicine and vitamin supplementation to bone marrow transplants.
