Exposure to sun, wind, cold and chemicals, as well as the movement of laughter, crying or concentration ages your face quicker than the rest of your body. There are easy facial exercises that you can perform to help stimulate blood flow and reduce wrinkles. As with all new treatments, you should speak with your doctor or dermatologist before doing facial exercises.
Double Chin
Lie face up on the floor. Slowly bow your head until you touch your chin to your chest, using your neck muscles to move you. Pause and slowly return your head to the floor. Repeat 10 times to eliminate a double chin.
Crow's Feet
Place your thumbs on the corners of your eyes and rest your fingers on top of your head. Close your eyes tightly and slide your thumbs outwards from your eyes to your temples. Perform this exercise 10 times in the morning and night when you apply your face moisturizer to help eliminate fine lines and wrinkles around your eyes.
Upper Eyelid
Place your index fingers under your eyebrows. Close your eyes and push your fingers up to stretch your eyelids down. This exercise will help firm your upper eyelids. Repeat throughout the day.
Jowls
Sit in front of a mirror and relax your face. Place your index finger on either side of your mouth and gently pull the corners of your mouth outwards. Keep the movement the same on either side of your face. Then, take your fingers away and use your mouth muscles to keep holding the position; it should look like a close-mouthed smile. Alternatively, lift one side of your mouth with your mouth muscles, then lift the other side.
Forehead
This exercise helps to firm your forehead. Put the pointer finger of each hand just above your eyes and gently pull down while raising your eyebrows. Repeat 10 times.
Lips
Put your pointer finger in your mouth and suck as hard as you can, as if you are sucking a very thick milkshake. Slowly remove your finger and repeat 10 times to help firm your lips.
