Sudden Concern Over Appearance
Your girlfriend shaved her legs, wore perfume and ironed her dresses before going on dates with you in the beginning, but as the relationship progressed, your dates turned into sweatpants and a rented movie. Take that as a compliment because it means she feels comfortable being herself in your presence, but be wary if she has recently started to concern herself over shaved armpits and lipstick before leaving the house to go to the gym.
Extra Time Away
She may say she is going to the mountains for an all-girls weekend in addition to having a sudden onslaught of work after-hours and travel requirements. Perk up your ears and keep your eyes peeled if this is a new and sudden change, especially if her behavior already seems suspicious. If you're concerned, call her when she's on vacation, make a "surprise visit" to her when she says she will be at work late and get in touch with her office to ask at what hotel she's staying on her business trip.

If she favors her other relationship, she may act indifferent about addressing issues when they arise in your own relationship. Cell phones and the internet make cheating easier than ever before, but they can also help the cheated uncover his partner's affair. If your girlfriend consistently whispers into her cell phone when she receives a call in your presence, if she proceeds to walk into another room to finish her conversation, or if she abruptly hangs up, she is trying to hide something. If she spends excess time on the internet and the search history is cleared when you use the same computer, there may be justification for your suspicions. If she strives to keep her passwords hidden from you and you discover that she has a secret e-mail address, she may be hiding something.
