According to Drug Information Online, thyme has been traditionally used in tea to treat digestive disorders, including the elimination of intestinal parasites. Common intestinal parasites that can be treated with thyme include hookworms, pinworms and roundworms. Parasites are easily passed from person to person and can cause gastric disturbances and anal itching, according to the book "Herbs for Health and Healing." Combining thyme with other herbs known to fight parasites can give you a natural treatment.

Step 1

Dry fresh thyme and rosemary leaves and chamomile flowers. Grow thyme and the other herbs yourself, or find them in a grocery store or produce market. Begin by cleaning the herbs and placing them in a paper bag. Puncture holes in the bag for circulation and hang them in a warm, dark room for about two or three weeks. You can also dry them in a shorter amount of time by placing them on a cookie sheet and baking for three or four hours at 180 degrees Fahrenheit with the oven door open, according to Gardening Know How.

Step 2

Place about 3 cups of water in a saucepan, and set the burner on high. Add 1/2 tsp. of thyme and each of the other herbs. Add a piece of ginger root. Bring it to a boil and allow it to steep for 1/2 hour. Strain out the herbs and remove the ginger root.

Step 3

Drink 3 cups of tea daily until the parasites are gone. Use 1 cup daily for a child over 50 lbs. if your doctor approves. Consult a doctor for children under 50 lbs. for appropriate treatment.
