Cheerleading gifts celebrate the accomplishments of the team through the year; such gifts work well at the end of a sports season or school year. Gifts can fit nearly any age, and any type of cheerleading. Customizing the gifts for specific recipients makes them more meaningful to the cheerleaders.
Personalized Gift
Many companies offer free or inexpensive personalization on a number of items. Photo gifts are popular with many recipients, including cheerleaders. Most stores that process photos also sell a variety of photo gifts. You select the type of gift --- clothing or glassware, for example --- and upload a photo to have printed on the item. An inscription, monogram, name, or other wording is often included on the gift as well. One option that fits the cheerleading theme well is a magazine cover gift. The cheerleader's photograph is printed on the front of a magazine to make it look like she is the magazine's cover girl.
Pampering Kits
Cheerleaders spend a lot of time on their feet. A pampering kit full of lotions, nail polish, pumice stones, and other tools needed for a home pedicure allow the recipients to take care of their feet. Place all of the pampering items in a small basket or gift bag the recipients can reuse. This gift idea allows you to customize the contents of the kit, which also gives you more control over the cost.
Scrapbook
A scrapbook makes a sentimental and customized gift for the cheerleaders. Take plenty of pictures throughout the season, both during actual performances and in practice. The cheerleaders' parents can be a good source for additional photographs --- and may also be willing to help construct the scrapbooks, which will make the process move more quickly. Leave blank tags on the pages so the recipients can add in their own memories or captions for the photos.
Awards
An awards ceremony or end-of-the-year cheerleading party offers a group gift to the team members. Include a meal, awards ceremony, and entertainment, such as karaoke or craft activities. The awards ceremony itself is a gift to the members, but you can also offer them a small token, such as a medal or a printed certificate. To emphasize the individuals on the team, create custom awards for each cheerleader. Examples might include the biggest smile, most improved, most energetic, or biggest heart.
