With a few simple facial exercises performed on a daily basis, you can reduce the signs of aging, wrinkled or sagging skin. You can't reverse the aging process, but you can slow it down, at least in regard to your appearance. Working facial muscles will help to tone the eyes, cheeks, mouth and jaw line for optimal benefits, not only for the muscles and your facial structure, but for your skin health as well. Five to 10 minutes a day is all you need to perform a few basic face exercises.

Hot Lips

To reduce wrinkles around the lips and to achieve the appearance of fuller lips, suck on a finger. Suck on your thumb as hard as you can, according to Fitness Health Zone. While trying to suck the thumb inward, slowly pull the thumb out of the mouth, feeling the tension in the muscles surrounding the mouth as you do so. You can repeat this exercise 10 to 15 times a day.

Forehead Workout

Exercise the eyes and tone the forehead at the same time by placing the side of your index fingers just above your eyebrows. Gently press downward while simultaneously lifting the eyebrows, suggests Fitness Health Zone. You'll feel this exercise working the muscles along the forehead. Try not to scrunch up any muscles in your face while doing this exercise. Repeat 10 to 15 times.

Eyelid Workout

Reduce tired, sagging eyelids by performing this eyelid workout. Lift your eyebrows while simultaneously trying to close your eyes halfway. This move requires some concentration for beginners. Try looking in a mirror until you get the move right. Your eyebrows should be lifted high, suggests Ageless. Hold your eyelids halfway closed for a second or two and then open the eyes as wide as you can, eyebrows still lifted. If you're looking in a mirror, you should be able to see the whites of your eyes. Repeat this exercise five to 10 times at a sitting.

Cheek Workout

Sit facing forward, lips closed and relaxed. Form a pout with your lips and then frown, keeping the lips pursed. Hold this contraction for about 10 seconds and then relax. Repeat this exercise 10 times at a sitting, suggests Ageless. Following that exercise set, smile with your lips pressed gently together and then suck in the cheeks. Your cheeks should be pressed against your teeth at this point. Hold this position for a count of 10 and then relax. Repeat this exercise 10 times also.
