While Miami, Florida has a thriving nightlife and part scene, that is not all the city has to offer. Beaches

Miami beaches are a top destination for travelers and locals seeking a way to spend the day in Miami. The beaches of Miami have been rated by such organizations as "USA Today" and the Travel Channel as being the best in the world.
Many of the beaches have lifeguards and activities such as the Central Miami Beach, which features a raised boardwalk alongside the water as well as umbrella and chair rentals and an active shopping and dining district nearby.

Dive Deep

Miami waters go far deeper than the sands and coasts alongside the beaches. Miami has many top diving spots, underwater coral reefs, and water sports that provide travelers ample daytime attractions.
As indicated by "Miami & Beaches," Miami is known as "The Wreckreational Capital of the World" and has many shipwrecked boats divers can explore that are located in both shallow and deep waters. There are more than 400 unique species that call the Miami waters home and can be seen on snorkeling and diving daytime trips.

Miami has more than 30 private or public golf courses that provide the perfect way to enjoy the daytime hours. Miami golf courses are recognized internationally, with golf courses such as the Miami Beach public golf course, which is the only course in the United States with paspaum grass, or the TPC Blue Monster course at the Doral Resort & Spa, which is a top championship course built in 1961.
The wintertime is the most popular time for golf but also the most expensive, and it is often possible to enjoy Miami area golf courses for a reduced price during the summer.

Parks & Recreation

There are more than 100 parks in the city of Miami that are managed by the City of Miami Parks & Recreation department. The parks all are unique, and each one offers a different way to spend the day outdoors including water parks, parks with sports activities and dog parks. Every summer, the departments hosts the "Heart of our Park" series that combines music and culture with the outdoors and nature.

Farmers Market

The Farmers Markets of Miami are a fun way to spend the day that promoting healthy eating. Because of the year-round relatively warm weather, Miami has a large agricultural community, and locals and travelers are able to enjoy the fresh produce first-hand.
According to the listings of "The Market Company," The Jackson Memorial Foundation Green Market is open every Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and the Miami Beach Lincoln Road Farmers' Market is open every Sunday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. In addition to promoting healthy lifestyles, Farmers Markets are a great way to spend the day in Miami.
