Ice-skating

The Pond at Bryant Park is one of the most popular places to ice skate because it's free. It is truly an iconic place in Gotham City. It will take you back to when you were a child and you watched Macaulay Culkin at The Pond in "Home Alone."

Movies Under The Brooklyn Bridge

This is a free and yearly event. During the summer months, the Brooklyn Bridge Park sponsors a free movie night for families. Films are played on a large screen, under the Brooklyn Bridge. So not only can you watch a film, but also you also have the stunning bridge as a backdrop. It shows a different movie every night.
The films are picked by a volunteer committee. It supports environmental issues and provides bike valet parking. Bring a picnic blanket, some healthy snacks and enjoy a free movie under the stars on a warm summer night.

Visit the Park

A park visit can be a relaxing journey at night. Not only are there less crowds, but everything looks different at night. When looking for a park to visit at night, safety must be considered. Central Park is a safe park at night. It is the biggest park in NYC. There are roads, bridges and tunnels that can provide a small escape from the city. Some popular spots in the park are Cherry Hill, Bethesda Foundation and the Carousel.
