Nourkrin is a hair supplement for men and women that reduces thinning hair and promotes new hair growth, according to the Nourkrin website. There is not yet enough clinical evidence to support Nourkrin's claims that its products can halt hair loss or stimulate the growth of new hair, so you may want to consult a doctor if you are considering using Nourkrin's products.

Nourkrin Products

Nourkrin suggests using the complete system of hair growth supplements for at least 6 months. The Nourkrin system includes a food supplement in the form of oral tablets, a scalp lotion, a shampoo and a conditioner. Nourkrin claims that its hair growth supplement can promote hair growth in individuals suffering from genetic baldness, rapid hair loss, spot baldness, alopecia totalis and other forms of baldness.

Ingredients

The active ingredients in the Nourkrin food supplement oral tablets are shark cartilage and shellfish extract, according to Hair Loss Learning Center. The shellfish extract contains glucosamine, which Nourkrin claims helps to grow and rebuild tissue like dormant hair follicles. However, according to Hair Loss Learning Center, there is not yet enough clinical evidence to suggest that glucosamine can stimulate hair growth. Nourkrin oral tablets also include fatty acids, horsetail extract, immunogloblin G protein, microscrystalline cellulose, silica and acerola cherry extract that provides vitamin C. Active ingredients in the scalp lotion include aloe vera, alcohol and proteins from marine life.

Men's and Women's Oral Tablets

Several additional ingredients are exclusive to Nourkrin's oral tablet for men and exclusive to the oral tablet for women, according to Top Hair Loss Remedy. Nourkrin's oral tablet for men includes omega-3 fatty acids and fenugreek to encourage blood circulation throughout the scalp. The oral tablet for women includes additional proteins from marine life, according to Hair Loss Learning Center.

Lack of Clinical Evidence

Nourkrin presents documentation of the clinical trials of its products on its website. The website presents the results as part of placebo, double-blind studies. However, the reliability of the studies is questionable because they were not conducted or verified by a neutral third party, according to Hair Loss Learning Center. None of the active ingredients in Nourkin's hair growth products are proven to stop hair loss, according to Hair Loss Learning Center.

Warning

Individuals with allergies to shellfish should avoid using Nourkrin because of the marine life proteins included in the ingredients, according to Top Hair Loss Remedy. Women who are breast feeding or pregnant should not use Nourkrin hair growth supplements.
