Las Vegas offers many options beyond the stereotypical adult activities. If you are traveling to Las Vegas with your family, there are many fun things for everyone to do-- kids included. There are innumerable restaurants, amusements, game rooms, arcades, and other attractions to be found in "The Entertainment Capital of the World." Don't hesitate to plan a family trip to Las Vegas--you will not have any problems finding something fun for everyone in the family.
Arcades
The arcades in Las Vegas are like everything else in the city--big, fun and full of unimaginable entertainment. Perhaps the best known arcade in Las Vegas is GameWorks. This arcade features nearly 300 games for all ages. A Coca-Cola and M&M store in the venue provide entertainment for those who do not want to participate in gaming. For those who seek out adventure, GameWorks even has a rock-climbing wall.
Amusement Rides
Las Vegas has many options for those who enjoy carnival and amusement park rides, ranging from the most adventurous of roller-coaster enthusiasts to those who enjoy more tame experiences such as 3-D movies.
Caesar's Palace has a selection of 3-D movies that are made to be almost an interactive experience. These include a galactic flight, a haunted graveyard run and even an Atlantis submarine race. In addition to these adventure experiences, the amusement options include an exciting roller coaster for those who enjoy many turns, twists and upside down loops that will delight daredevils of any age.
Animal Attractions
People of all ages love viewing exotic animals that they would not otherwise be able to see. Las Vegas has many opportunities to do this. Dolphins can be viewed at Siegfried & Roy's Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat, where the display includes a dolphin's natural environment. The MGM Grand Hotel even has lions that live in a jungle made to be as close to a natural habitat as possible, making this experience a truly enjoyable one for any animal lover.
Light Shows
Though the city of Las Vegas is one giant light show in and of itself, there are light shows in the city that are displayed specifically for entertainment. The Fremont light show is one of the most spectacular light shows in the world. With more than 2 millions lights used in the show, and a huge variety of sounds and music, this show is sure to entertain and delight the entire family as lights dance and move 90 feet above your heads.
Family Dining
Restaurants in Las Vegas aren't all adult-themed or attached to casinos. There are many dining options in Las Vegas for the whole family, from diners to entertainment-themed restaurants, to pizza places that have menus just for kids.
Try out the Rainforest Cafe for a unique, jungle-themed experience that will provide an environment unlike any other you have eaten in. For pizza, that favorite food of everyone, check out the California Pizza Kitchen which has a menu just for kids. Also, your hotel or other hotels will probably have a buffet with a special price for kids' meals.
